This RTÉ commentator got fierce emotional after Ireland won its first Olympic medal today
FOR THE LAST few days, the country has been completely and utterly charmed by Gary and Paul O’Donovan, two brothers from Skibbereen, Co. Cork competing in rowing at this year’s Olympics.
And this afternoon they only went and won a bloody silver medal!
The whole country was absolutely overjoyed — none more so than former Olympic rower Neville Maxwell.
Maxwell was in the RTÉ studios when the lads crossed the finish line and was so overcome with emotion that he shed a little tear…
